We’ll never know.
In fact we may never know anything for sure again.
The news is that Navy Seal Team Six busted into a compound in Abbottabad Pakistan, (34°10′9.67″N 73°14′33.60″E / 34.1693528°N 73.242667°E ). Among those killed were one of Bin Laden’s sons, a man described as a courier, and the courier’s brother. A woman, who may or may not have been one of Bin Laden’s wives, was killed or maybe just shot in the leg when she either was or wasn’t being used as human shield. The Seals either gunned down Osama bin Laden when he went for a weapon or shot him above the eye because he looked threatening, then took his193 cm long body and buried it in the North Arabian Sea from the USS Carl Vinson.
They knew it was him because they had his DNA and compared it to a woman who may or may not have been his sister who may or may not have died in a Boston hospital and they took her brain for just that purpose. Or maybe they knew because he was named by one of his wives. Senior intelligence officials in Pakistan were briefing yesterday that he was in fact identified by his daughter Safia, aged 12 or 13. And a senior U.S. official confirms that a U.S. Navy Seal identified Usama bin Laden by sight before he was shot with a single bullet to the head. Or maybe he was shot in the chest was well. On site, the Seals began a second step in the identification process which included “facial recognition pulls”, including taking his height and comparing his ears, nose and mouth to known photos of Usama bin Laden. Then, DNA testing began.
And that raises another question: is it Usama bin Laden or Osama Bin Laden?
I gathered all the above in ten minutes at my kitchen table in Karachi, Gulistan-e-Johar, with my Toshiba Latitude Tablet PC from yahoo search article.
We may never know.
What can you trust, now? Something you see with your own eyes? Something you are told? Who can tell you something you trust?
In fact we may never know anything for sure again.
