Nicole Richie to Launch Debut Fragrance

Fashion designer, author, actress and television personality Nicole Richie can now add fragrance designer to her impressive list of accolades.
Nicole is set to launch her debut fragrance later this year and says her inspiration for the scent came from her childhood and her mom. “I grew up with a mom who loved beauty.
“I have many memories of watching her get ready as she layered her oils and lotions, and this fragrance is a scent that I associate with her.”
The art-deco bottle was desinged in collaboration award winning designer Dale Brandon Kan. “I wanted it to represent different layers of a woman, which is what I try to do with Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960.
“I’m very particular in the way that I create. We’re in an interesting time right now where women aren’t just one thing — there are many different parts to a woman” Nicole told WWD. “So I wanted to create a very intricate bottle that was still elegant, but not so in-your-face girly at the same time,” she explains.
