Massive earthquake hits Japan

One day earlier, Jin and Akira’s 80-year-old mother, Sumi Abe, were rescued from their collapsed home, nine days after a massive earthquake and tsunami. The story of survival provided some rare good news as the death toll from the March 11 earthquake and tsunami climbed.
