The arrival of BlackBerry Messenger to Android has been confirmed for the end of the summer.
Recent news uncovered in an interview with BlackBerry’s managing director in India, Sunil Lalvani, confirms the arrival of BlackBerry Messenger to Android devices. IBN Live’s interview confirmed that the service should be out by the last week of September.
BlackBerry Messenger sparked a success in the messaging scene when it was launched several years ago, and is expected to do the same in the next two months for Google’s operating system.
Lalvani responded to earlier reports stating that the messaging app would be making its debut on Android in the summer, as confirmed by BlackBerry execs. He insisted that the September marks the end of the summer in the American calendar, so in principle, their comments were not mistaken.
When Lalvani was asked about the release being made by the last week of September, his response verified it.
The number of downloads of the BBM app is expected to be quite high, especially after 100,000 downloads were made last month when an unauthentic version of the app was revealed on Google Play.
